Dave's Compound Interest Calculator
Watch the your money grow over time.
This application calculates basic compound interest over a specified number of years. Typically you would use this
to figure out the value of an investment (stock, mutual fund, bond, CD, bank account, etc.). But it can also be used
to plan out a retirement strategy, see the value of your money affected by estimated inflation, or see how contributions
will add up over time.
*The inflation-adjusted yearly earning potential column shows how much money (in today's dollars) you could
take from your earnings without touching your principal. Your interest would no longer compound, but you could
theoretically keep drawing that amount (on average) forever.
Server-Side Version
This is my newest Javascript version of the calculator. Long ago, the calculator used to be server-side (PHP).
For a while, I maintained both versions, but I've recently discontinued.
If there is any interest in having the server-side version
again, let me know and I'll be happy to accomodate. Thanks!
