Final Approach Review

Final Approach came out in 1980 and was directed by the ever-incompetent Eric Stahl. We have used science (and possibly the box cover) to determine that this movie fits perfectly into the "Waste of Two Hours" genre.

During the time we had our polls open, 267 shitty viewers just like you weighed in on Final Approach. 180 of 'em thought it was great! 87 thought it was shit. Takes all kinds.

This is a Dave and Jim's B-Movie Review. This review was written some time between 1996 and 2001. Once you've sucked the marrow from this one, you can head back to the full list to pick another review for savoring. Do it again and again.

Dave's Review

That tree-swing scene Jim mentioned was so funny that it put us in stiches. The rest of it was just loops of the same footage over and over and over. It was so bad, that we just gave up listening to the characters. So if there was any plot in it, we missed it.

Jim's Review

This is one of the few movies that is actually about nothing but showing sort of cool stock footage over and over. If it didn't work for Ed Wood, it won't work for this director either. There was one part that was shocking, though. They were showing a scene of the main character in his tree swing for at least the 10th time...and then he flopped over and hit the tree. Up 'till then, nothing had happened in the movie.
