Mausoleum Review

Mausoleum came out in 1983 and was directed by the ever-diseased Michael Dugan. We have used science (and possibly the box cover) to determine that this movie fits perfectly into the "horror" genre.

During the time we had our polls open, 137 knob-gobbling viewers just like you weighed in on Mausoleum. 85 of 'em thought it was great! 52 thought it was shit. Takes all kinds.

This is a Dave and Jim's B-Movie Review. This review was written some time between 1996 and 2001. Once you've sucked the marrow from this one, you can head back to the full list to pick another review for savoring. Do it again and again.

Dave's Review

Hmm... Green glowing eyes and evil demons are almost always a good combination in a movie like this. However, the seductress lady was strangely unconvincing and seemed out of place in most of the scenes. I think that the director was on crack. Lots of it.

Dave broke it down like so: Technology: 4 Action: 4 Nudity: 5 Coolness: 2 Badguys: 1 Gore: 4 Shock: 1 Dialog: 2 Post-Nuke?: N Music: 2 Plot: 2 Length: Long Overall: 1

Jim's Review

I don't know how they went wrong with this movie. They had evil demons, green smoke, the ability to chuck people off of high buildings, how could they make such a stupid peice of shit? On it's one single positive note, their stereo-typical black servant (which didn't previously exist in the film) abandoned the house with the most inapropriate music imagionable. James Lane probably had a hand in it.
