New Nightmare (Elm Street7) Review

New Nightmare (Elm Street7) came out in 1994 and was directed by the ever-cat-like Wes Craven. We have used science (and possibly the box cover) to determine that this movie fits perfectly into the "Pathetic Director Horror" genre.

During the time we had our polls open, 239 cat-like viewers just like you weighed in on New Nightmare (Elm Street7). 181 of 'em thought it was great! 58 thought it was shit. Takes all kinds.

This is a Dave and Jim's B-Movie Review. This review was written some time between 1996 and 2001. Once you've sucked the marrow from this one, you can head back to the full list to pick another review for savoring. Do it again and again.

Dave's Review

Having survived the series up until this point, I was entirely prepared for this movie to be less than stellar. I'm afraid I wasn't quite prepared enough. The deluge of sewage which spewed forth after we popped this chunk of offal into the VCR was both putrid and copious. I may never be truly clean again.

Jim's Review

All I can say is this had better damn well be the final nightmare. This series has been a steep fall downhill from its barely decent beginning. This movie was so slow that David and I had to actually fast forward through several parts of it, and we have only had to do this through 1 other movie in the past. This movie was just slow as hell with a few scenes of violence, to relieve the boredom. I suppose I have to say my opinion may be a bit altered because I have never been a fan of the Nightmare on Elm Street series, I have always felt that Freddy just talks too much, and doesn't take action enough, but I still think my review is accurate. My advice is to avoid this film at all costs, there are many better ways to spend your time.
