Killer: A Journal of Murder Review

Killer: A Journal of Murder came out in 1996 and was directed by the ever-puss-filled Tim Metcalfe. We have used science (and possibly the box cover) to determine that this movie fits perfectly into the "Horror/Drama" genre.

During the time we had our polls open, 1 loathsome viewers just like you weighed in on Killer: A Journal of Murder. 1 of 'em thought it was great! 0 thought it was shit. Takes all kinds.

This is a Dave and Jim's B-Movie Review. This review was written some time between 1996 and 2001. Once you've sucked the marrow from this one, you can head back to the full list to pick another review for savoring. Do it again and again.

Dave's Review

When watching this movie, I was reminded a lot of The Shawshank Redemption (one of my favorite films). That association is due in part to the time period of the setting and in part because it was obviously made with very high quality standards in mind. James Woods is an excellent actor, so the whole thing is very watchable. Unfortunately, Killer is definately drama as opposed to horror. So what I'm saying is that it's a good movie, but you probably won't enjoy it much.

Jim's Review

An Excellent movie, it had realistic characters, and good dialogue. This movie while lacking blood and gore made up for it with an interesting story line. It takes place in a prison and covers what the criminal thinks of his life. I tend to like all movies like this though, they always seem to have original characters. It is definitely not a B-movie, but it is well worth watching and I would recommend it to any one.
