Dave's Review

Well, after The Evil Dead, you'd think nothing could get any better. But you'd be wrong. Evil Dead 2 is the greatest sequel (or remake depending on who you ask) ever! There's more gore, more laughs, and more monster cam. Heck, there's even more Ash. And need I even mention the chainsaw? Look, this is the B-movie you must see. This is what it's all about, folks.

Jim's Review

Is it a Remake, or a sequel? That is the big question. I personally think it is a sequel, but the majority of the people I have seen it with think it is a remake. It is 50 times more fun than the first one, but I argue that the first movie is better over all. This movie makes the pansy wimpy Ash of the first movie, into the best hero ever in a horror movie. He is a bit crazy but he makes up for it by connecting a chainsaw to his stump of an arm. It is full of great quotes and scenes, and has camera work that is only second to the first movie. This is by far my favorite in the series. It balances out the horror aspects with the comedy perfectly. Some one at my Dorm is borrowing my copy of Evil Dead 2 every weekend because they cannot get enough of it. In other words, if you haven't seen Evil Dead 2 yet, run down to the nearest Rental store and get it right now.
