Dave's Review
If you read the review for Evil Dead 2 before this one, you may have noticed that I said it was the classic b-movie. Well, it is. But it has a contender. Toxie might even be better. I think they are equally good in their own separate ways. While Evil Dead 2 leans towards the horror side, The Toxic Avenger leans heavily towards the comedy side. The dialog alone is enough to kill most small animals. Now add the whacko characters and you have a movie that can rip the intestines out of a bull elephant from 30 yards away and sling them into the stratosphere.

Jim's Review
This movie is one of the funniest horror movies in existence. It is the first movie made by the Troma team, the people who later brought us, Surf Nazis Must Die, Class of Nuke'm High, and Tromio and Juliet. Dave and I both love this movie. I can think of very few things in this movie that are in good taste, and that is what makes this movie great. It is one of those rare movies where the film makers knew that they were incapable of winning over the public with a nice well made movie, so they made a really bad movie in the funniest, Crudest way possible. The characters alone are hilarious, and in this cheesy movie environment they somehow become funnier. The Dialogue is so horribly funny I can not even explain it (Read the Tromio and Juliet Review for an Example of Troma Talk). Finally I must say that every person on earth should see this movie several times in their life time, so if you have not seen it yet watch it at the next opportune time.
