Shallow Grave Review
Shallow Grave came out in 1994 and was directed by the ever-erect Danny Boyle. We have used science (and possibly the box cover) to determine that this movie fits perfectly into the "Scottish Film Noir" genre.
During the time we had our polls open, 227 stumpy viewers just like you weighed in on Shallow Grave. 130 of 'em thought it was great! 97 thought it was shit. Takes all kinds.
This is a Dave and Jim's B-Movie Review. This review was written some time between 1996 and 2001. Once you've sucked the marrow from this one, you can head back to the full list to pick another review for savoring. Do it again and again.
Thea's Review
The sound effects when David cuts through bone with the hacksaw are disturbing, and the interactions between the flatmates are ... well, interesting. There were lots of funny moments, in a creepy, morbid sort of way.
Thea broke it down like so: Technology: 6 Action: 6 Nudity: 5 Coolness: 8 Badguys: 9 Gore: 6 Shock: 8 Dialog: 8 Post-Nuke?: No Music: 5 Plot: 8 Length: Great! Overall: 7
